Hello all. I am Skyfall Blind Dreamer, an avid lucid dreamer and teacher of lucid dreaming on the Dream Café Discord server. I am blind, so use a screen reader and keyboard navigation to engage with the internet. I also receive my sensory inputs via auditory and tactile data. I can see bright light, but that is all. I’ve often been asked how I manage to interact online if I’m blind, so I thought I’d share that here. I use the NVDA screen reader on this computer and also use JAWS and Voiceover for IOS.
As for lucid dreaming, it has been a passion of mine since I started my own practice on Thursday the 15th of last October. I first learned about lucid dreaming from YouTube, but the Dream Café Discord server is where I really learned and engaged with people on the subject. I am now a moderator there and I have been helping teach others to lucid dream since last November. One thing to note, YouTube has a lot of misinformation about lucid dreaming, and the bad information is much more prevalent than the good. This led me to create my YouTube channel, Skyfall Blind Dreamer, just like my Discord personality. My goal is to spread accurate lucid dreaming information to as many people as possible by providing guides and resources, but most importantly, by communicating with people and pointing them in the right direction.
